Wow, thats crazy, whats their average summer ? about 24C? We will have to see what impact this warm weather has on our winter this year, hoping, but can't see it having a possitive effect

Have we had our last day of sea ice melt for 2025??
Well may be only a few days early this year. we normally get our last day of sea ice melt around the 16th of september last year was much later, but 2023 and 2022 both had theirs on the 16th.

12/09/2025
Sea ice levels were 4.604 km2
13/09/2025
Sea ice levels were 4.634km2

Looks likely, the Arctic is cooling rapidly now, even areas like northern parts of Finland and Norway are forecast to drop to near freezing in 10 days or so.

Not a bad Met outlook for the first proper 2 weeks of Winter...
Wednesday 3 Dec - Wednesday 17 Dec

Whilst there is a lot of uncertainty as to the nature of weather affecting the UK into December, it looks likely that it will become more settled for a time with low pressure systems being steered to the south of the UK. There is however the possibility for some periods of rain or wintry precipitation at times. Temperatures are probably near to or a little below normal but there is a chance of winter hazards including snow at times for some.
