Spring / Summer Observations
After a real taste of summer yesterday, with temperatures climbing above 20°C, today has been a completely different story. It’s been mostly cloudy, with highs struggling to reach 15°C, and the winds have picked up after yesterday’s calm conditions.
Strong easterlies are expected across Cornwall over the next couple of days, so we could be in for a bit of a show, with waves crashing over the harbour wall in Mevagissey.

Re: Spring / Summer Observations
Need to start a moaning thread! Day after day of rain all winter in the west, now dry as a bone for 4 weeks and the west has turned into a dust bowl. Ive planted some summer plants, now we cant buy a drop of rain. Tomorrow sees a band of heavy rain moving north...apart from the west! Nothing for the west now until next weekend at the earliest.

Re: Spring / Summer Observations
Hope you got the rain you need Kev. I offered to take Donna to the beach yesterday, unknowingly to Donna I knew it was going to pur it down. My cunning plan worked and we headed off to the pub

Re: Spring / Summer Observations
Just after typing that we had about an hour of very heavy rain as the band of storms moved north over us. Probably the best storm show here for the last 10 years or so.

Re: Spring / Summer Observations
We had a very intense storm overnight (South Herefordshire) but it was a fairly brief affair.
However, while it lasted, it was definitely one of the most active/impressive ones I have seen in a long while!
