Re: Storm Amy
Storm Amy began life earlier this week in the Atlantic, developing rapidly as a deep area of low pressure. Fuelled by warm ocean air and a strong jet stream, it has intensified on its eastward track and is now heading directly toward the UK.
Forecast models show Amy sweeping across the country through Friday and Saturday, bringing a mix of heavy rainfall and powerful winds. Coastal regions, particularly in the west and southwest, are expected to feel the first impacts before the system moves further inland. As it tracks northeast, Amy could bring widespread rain, gusty conditions, and the potential for localised flooding and travel disruption.
Stay Safe
